College Counseling
When you arrive at Cushing Academy, you may already be thinking about the next step — college — and that’s good, because it’s never too early. Colleges and universities are swamped with applications, and with some careful planning, our College Counseling staff can help ensure that yours will stand out.
As early as your freshman year, the College Counseling Office will help you make informed decisions about academics and activities. We start early because we want you to feel calm and confident about achieving your goals. We’ll walk you through every aspect of the college process - from evaluating schools to thinking about careers and deciding which colleges might fit you best to submitting successful applications to choosing among those that accept you. Typically, all of our graduating seniors go to college, and most have several from which to choose.
The members of the College Counseling staff have years of experience helping students find colleges where they will be happy, can fulfill their ambitions, and strive to achieve their goals.

Cushing Academy
Cushing Academy exists for students and develops curious, creative, and confident learners and leaders. Founded in 1865, Cushing is a co-ed, college preparatory boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12 and PG. Our students, who come from over 30 states and 30 countries, excel in our outstanding academic, art, and athletic offerings.
