Opportunities for Women in STEM
The WinSTEM program at Cushing’s Summer Session is designed to promote science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) opportunities for young women. These include STEM classes in the upper and middle schools, as well as courses in engineering, 3-D printing, computer programming, college-level scientific research, robotics, and advanced math studies. In addition to these class options, on-campus programming for summer students interested in these disciplines will offer resources and opportunities to encourage and enhance future STEM pursuits, including access to Cushing’s college counselors, as well as alumni and other professionals working in STEM-related fields.
Students interested in the WinSTEM program are encouraged to enroll in one or more of the classes listed below. During the first week of Summer Session, the Academic Dean will provide sign-up information for the on-campus programming. All students are welcome to attend these sessions.
