Campus Safety

Foremost among Cushing Academy's core values is the safety and well-being of our students.

 

During Summer Session, the Cushing Academy Campus Safety Team facilitates age-appropriate lessons and drills on the three general areas of emergency response:

 

All Summer Session students, faculty, and staff practice these protocols early in the program.

 

In the event of an emergency, Cushing employs state-of-the-art communication systems, including web-based alerts and on-campus notifications, with the ability to reach all school constituencies in a timely manner.

 

In addition, the Campus Safety Team partners with several outside agencies and experts in the field of school safety. These include Allied International, Department of Homeland Security, Response Options, and the Ashburnham Police and Fire Departments.

 

There is a security officer on duty 24 hours a day—7 days a week—365 days a year.
