Parents for Cushing (PFC) offers many volunteer opportunities throughout the year that provide occasions for parents to interact with one another and with the Academy. The primary purpose of this organization is to promote a sense of community among parents, students, faculty, and administrators, connecting families to their children and the Academy throughout the year. We hope PFC will become an advocate in helping to meet the needs of Cushing families.
Parent Council
Parent involvement is a crucial and integral component of the successful program at Cushing Academy.
Cushing parents are automatically members of Parents for Cushing, whose primary purpose is to promote a sense of community among parents, students, faculty, and administrators. In addition, Parents for Cushing helps with fundraising efforts, assists with parent-organized events and helps inform parents about programming at Cushing Academy. A small group of parent volunteers runs the group, thus, The Cushing Academy Parent Council.
Beyond gatherings to learn about Cushing and education, the
Parent Council is building a robust parent community and important bridge between parents and the Cushing community, as well as an increased opportunity to connect with fellow parents, spend more time on campus, and better understand the Cushing experience.
